According to the data compiled by Turizmdatabank from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s accommodation statistics, the occupancy rate in hotels with operating licenses in Turkey increased to 82.63% in August 2022. It reached around 63% in hotels with municipality certificates.

Occupancy by 2019

In the same month of 2019, occupancy rates were 85.71% in hotels with operation certificate and 60.5% in hotels with municipality certificate.
In August 2022, occupancy rates in 5-star hotels reached 2019 with 93.65%. 4-star hotels are at par with 2019 with 82.45% occupancy. 3-star hotels, on the other hand, are 2 points above 2019 with 67.12%. 1 class holiday villages also passed 2019 with 102.4%. Occupancy rates in facilities such as golf, private, apartments and boarding houses caught and passed 2019.
