According to the data compiled by Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the Interbank Card Center BKM; Domestic flight ticket expenditures made with credit and debit cards approached 4.5 billion dollars in the 7-month period of 2022. It was $2.4 billion in 2021. 70% of purchases were made by credit cards and 30% by debit cards.

Number of airline passangers

On the other hand, in the January-August period of 2022, the total number of international and domestic passenger traffic at Turkey’s airports increased to 118.3 million. In the 8-month period of 2019, the outbound-inbound passenger traffic at Turkey’s airports was around 140 million.
