According to the calculation made by the Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the Facilities Statistics of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of hotel beds in hotels with Operation License and Municipality License reached 1,955 thousand in September 2022.
When the hotels that are in the investment stage are added, the total number of beds reached 2 million 94 thousand.

Number of hotel beds in provinces

During this period, the number of hotel beds active in Antalya destination increased by 37 thousand and exceeded 643 thousand. The total number of hotel beds in Istanbul increased by 64 thousand and exceeded 276 thousand.
On the other hand, Muğla, which exceeded 248 thousand in the number of beds, became the province with the highest increase in the number of beds with 72 thousand. Again, the number of hotel beds in Izmir, one of the centers of the Aegean region, has increased by 36 thousand in the last year and approached 87 thousand. The number of beds in Aydın increased by 22 thousand and exceeded 63 thousand.
