According to the data compiled by Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, from the Interbank Card Center BKM; In the January-July period of 2022, hotel accommodation expenditures made with credit and debit cards approached 3 billion dollars.
In 2021, there was an expenditure of close to 1.7 billion dollars. 74% of expenditures were made with credit cards and 26% with debit cards.

Turkey Hotel Occupancy Rate in July

The occupancy rate in hotels with operating certificates in Turkey increased to 78% in July 2022. It reached around 62% in hotels with municipality certificates. In the same month of 2019, the occupancy rate in hotels with operating certificates was 82.75%. It was 62.31% in hotels with municipality certificates.
