In July 2022, tourism revenues in Greece increased by 62.7% to 3,723.1 million Euros. The increase was 87.3% in the number of incoming tourists.

In January-July 2022, tourism revenues increased by €5,367.5 million to €8,849.4 million, according to Greek Central Bank data. Despite the increase in travel revenues, average expenditure per tourist fell by 13.6%.

Revenues from Germany rose 127.4% to EUR 1,636.7 million and revenues from France rose 87.6% to EUR 659.7 million. Revenues from the UK rose 342.8 percent to EUR 1,478.5 million, while revenues from the USA rose 183.6 percent to EUR 566.2 million.
