Paris (Paris and Ile-de-France), the popular city destination of France, hosted more than 20 million foreign tourists in 2022. The country with a total visitor count of more than 44 million (13% lower than in 2019) attracted nearly 25 million visitors from the domestic market. The revenue earned by the region from total visits in 2022 was 19.6 billion Euros: 10% down compared to 2019.

Main markets

According to the data of the Paris Île-de-France Regional Tourism Committee (CRT), Americans took the first place with 2.4 million accommodation. 2 million British came to the city, while the Spaniards followed with 1.5 million. Italians, Germans, Belgians, Dutch and Swiss followed. Other markets were Canada and Brazil.

The hotel occupancy rate in the region did not reach the same period of 2019. Seasonal and furnished rentals also declined.
