According to the data compiled by Turizmdatabank from the Interbank Card Center BKM, in the 7-month period of 2022, the payments made by contactless cards to those who receive tourism services in Turkey amounted to 580 million USD.
Hotels and travel agencies took the first place in contactless payments. In 7 months, citizens paid $321 million to hotels and $238 million to agencies with contactless cards. Compared to 2021, payments made without insurance increased 8 times.
