According to the HOTEL TURNOVER 2022 analysis made by Tourism Databank, the tourism statistics center, hotel turnover in the 8-month period of 2022 increased by 30% compared to 2019. The increase in turnover was mostly due to price increases.

Sources of revenue growth

According to the estimations made based on the data of TURKSTAT and KTB, 63% of the hotel turnover increases obtained from foreign overnight stays in the 8-month period of 2022 stemmed from prices. On the other hand, 37% were created from the arrival of overnight stays.
In this period, while the turnovers exceeded the year 2019 and exceeded 11 billion dollars, the level of 2014, which was approximately 11 billion dollars, was retested.
