According to AirHelp data, 4 million flight cancellations were affected in Europe in the summer of 2022, due to European-wide airline strikes and staff shortages. Germany has become the country with the most flight cancellations, with more than 6,000 flights. It was followed by the United Kingdom with 4,486 flights. England was followed by Italy, France, the Netherlands and Spain. In the Mediterranean, 5,917 more flights were canceled in Turkey’s main rival, Spain.
