According to the data compiled by Turizmdatabank from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s accommodation statistics, in September 2022, the occupancy rate in hotels with operating licenses in Turkey was 68.24%. The occupancy rate in hotels with municipality certificates reached 58.37%.
Occupancy by 2019
In the same month of 2019, the occupancy rate was 73.86% in hotels with operation certificate and 79.86% in hotels with municipality certificate.
In this month, the occupancy rates in 5-star hotels exceeded 2019 with 81.28%. 4-star hotels are also slightly below 2019 with 73.04% occupancy. 3-star hotels, on the other hand, fell far behind 2019 with 56.12%. 1 class holiday villages were also close to 2019 with 85.52%, and the Golf facilities remained at the level of 2019 with 130%.
